The GNBS Conducts Training Session with Traffic Ranks of the Guyana Police Force

(June 22, 2020) The Guyana National Bureau of Standards, in collaboration with the Guyana Police Force, on June 19, provided training to certifying officers of the force in areas related to metrology (the science of measurements), the International System of Units, calibration and use of speed guns and breathalysers, as well as the inspection of tires.

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force Engaged in Training with the GNBS

The program was held at the Police Officer’s Training Centre, Camp Street and was a week long training targeting thirty-six (36) traffic ranks from the various regions. This provided them with training in Licensing and Certifying; the GNBS being involved on the penultimate day to provide training in the above mentioned areas.

The information was provided to the traffic ranks by GNBS Officers from the Legal Metrology, Product Compliance and Marketing and Communications Department.
