What is the GNBS Bed & Breakfast Certification Programme and why is it required?

The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) Bed and Breakfast (B&B) Certification Porgramme is a voluntary Programme under the GNBS Certification Services.

B&B Providers certified under this Programme have undergone a GNBS quality assessment (audit) and have successfully fulfilled the requirements and is in conformance to the Guyana Standard GYS 514 Requirements for bed and breakfast facilities.

GNBS Certified B&B Properties are issued with a Certificate and Quality Mark that are valid for one year. 

Certified B&B Providers demonstrate to travellers that their properties were inspected and meets certification requirements. The category provides travellers with additional information about the type of accommodation provided, the range and quality of facilities and services offered.

HOW DO I APPLY?
1. Inquire: Contact Business Development or Certification Services Department on 219-0064-66 or email bss@gnbsgy.org or certification@gnbsgy.org
2. Apply: Complete and submit an application form
3. Assessments: GNBS conducts site visits & audits
4. Certification: Once approval is granted, the certificate is prepared and issued with terms and conditions.
